MAXUS Q2

PREMIUM METALWORKING FLUID

MAXUS Q2  is a new water extendible, cutting and grinding fluid and is part of our new MAXUS group of metalworking lubricants.  Q2 was formulated through MAXIM's

research and development in conjunction with two of the industry's most prominent additive manufacturers.

MAXUS Q2 provides exceptional E.P. performance characteristics in a variety of machine operations on both ferrous and non-ferrous materials.  While chlorine, silicon, and

DEA free;  Q2 runs cleaner in machine tools and has earned very high marks in operator acceptance.

MAXUS Q2, when mixed with water, forms a water-thin transparent emulsion that exhibits excellent cooling properties for superior finishes and increased tool life.  MAXUS

Q2 is recommended for use in operations involving the most difficult to machine alloys including stainless, titanium and high nickel steels. The opaque emulsion is easy to mix in

both soft and hard water containing up to 1000 ppm calcium/magnesium hardness.

MAXUS Q2 remains highly transparent to afford the machine operator full view of the work. The effective biostatic system formulated into the  MAXUS Q2  yields a higher

resistance to microbial degradation and rancidity than conventional soluble oils;  this allows for longer coolant life in machine sumps and central coolant systems without

special maintenance procedures.  Unlike many soluble and synthetics, the  MAXUS Q2 remains fluid in and on the surfaces of the machining center allowing slideways,

chucks, and tooling to work freely without a hard-to-clean dry or sticky residue.

MAXUS Q2 incorporates a three part DEA FREE rust inhibitor package that provides complete protection for machine surfaces and parts in process.  MAXUS Q2 also

contains a copper brightener as well as an inhibitor to prevent galvanic corrosion between stacked parts.  This feature makes the Q2 well suited for the machining of copper

and its alloys as well as a variety of machine operations on aluminum and most aerospace alloys.

MAXUS Q2 has met the criterion concerning corrosive characteristics of metalworking fluids on various metals set forth by the major D.O.D. contractors.
