SURFACE PREPARATION: The maximum performance of DURACOTE T-846 can be achieved only when the metal surfaces to be protected ar e clean, dry, and free of rust, oil, and mill scale

MAXIM  recommends that the metal substrate temperature be 40 - 95  deg.F (5 - 35 deg.C) at the time of product application.

APPLICATION: DURACOTE T-846 is formulated to be used as supplied.

DO NOT THIN DURACOTE T-846.  Incorrect thinning will affect film build, dry time and productperformance.  MAXIM recommends that the ambient and product temperature be

40 - 95 deg.F (5 - 35 deg.C) at time of application.  Do not apply heat; fire or explosion may result  DURACOTE T-846 can be applied by spray or dip.

REMOVAL: DURACOTE T-846 can be removed with naphtha or harsh petroleum solvent.

CAUTION:  DURACOTE T-846 cures by solvent evaporation.  Use with adequate ventilation.  Adequate ventilation is required for cure  and to ensure against formation of an explosive atmosphere.

THE PARTIALLY CURED FILM SHOULD NOT BE EXPOSED TO IGNITION SOURCES SUCH AS FLARES, FLAMES, SPARKS, EXCESSIVE HEAT OR TORCHES.  Refer to

Maxim's MSDS for additional handling and first aid information.

NOTE: The addition of any product over or under this coating is not recommended.  The use of additional coatings could result in chemical incompatibility, thus adversely affecting the

performance of this coating as stated in the lab data section. For any questions, or information needed, please contact your MAXIM representative.
